DFC Bootcamp: The Roli Challenge

At MuSo, this July, we bring to you one of DFC’s unique workshops - The Roli Challenge!
A design thinking workshop by Design for Change that teaches children how to create with empathy - where the participants get a unique opportunity to empathise, understand and communicate directly with the user in-person and design ‘WITH HER’ instead of ‘FOR HER’.
Ms. Roli, a strong-willed, cheerful and inspiring educator, had met with an accident in the past and the right side of her body was left paralyzed. Through the workshop, she will urge the participants to design solution prototypes for her, helping her through her daily struggles and requirements. The children will be guided to solve the design challenge using the FIDS framework with the help of mentors and makers.
Takeaways:
-
Participants will understand how to design WITH and not FOR a user
-
Understand the importance of empathy in design thinking while designing a solution with the user.
