The Hydroponics Lab is a hands-on workshop for children aged eight and above who are curious about plants, science, and how things grow. Through gentle experiments and guided making, children explore hydroponics by observing roots, water flow, and plant needs in a calm, discovery-filled space.
Children will test pH, mix nutrient solutions, build a working mini hydroponic system with pumps, pipes, and net pots, and transfer seedlings into their setup. They’ll monitor water levels, troubleshoot flow, and learn how light and oxygen support healthy roots, then take home a functioning system they can care for.
Learnings:
Explore how plants grow without soil through observation, testing, and hands-on experiments
Build confidence in scientific making by assembling and maintaining a working hydroponic system
Practice problem-solving and care-taking through pH testing, water monitoring, and plant upkeep
Kids will work in group and each participant will get a mini prototype as takeaway.
